Update from the President:

I am honored to be the current president for the Sight for Life Foundation. I, along with our current and past board members, am excited to continue working diligently toward our mission to help save and restore sight for those in need. We are continuously working to improve our local and global outreach programs to provide sight saving surgeries and ocular treatments in impoverished communities.

        Our most recent surgical trip to Chichicastenango Guatemala September 2024 we were able to perform over 55 surgeries and over 95 eye exams within 2.5 days. In February 2025, I returned to Guatemala to work along local and international volunteers to provide free eye exams for 247 local school children near Chichicastenango to screen for visual impairments.

         I would like to extend my deepest thanks and appreciation to my friend and founder of the Sight for Life Foundation Dr. William E. Sponsel, for which it is widely known, his heart and compassion for saving vision has no boundaries. Due to his unwavering commitment to our mission, we have prevented a world of darkness for countless individuals.

         I, along with our board members, look forward to continually expanding our medical outreach efforts to help underserved communities locally and globally.
