     On February 24th, 2018, the Sponsel Foundation hosted our very first, free, children's clinic for kids 17 and under in the San Antonio and surrounding area. With the help of Dr. Duncan Friedman, Dr. William E. Sponsel, optometrists Amy Schnegg & Susan Johnson, and many volunteers, we were able to provide comprehensive eye exams to 16 children and give out vouchers for glasses as needed, generously donated by our partners, Prevent Blindness Texas.

     We hope to increase our impact and improve our next clinic by helping Prevent Blindness Texas ​with annual eye screenings at San Antonio schools in the Fall and subsequently hold another Children’s Clinic for those that need comprehensive eye exams.
